new Dappled Things

You can see some of it here, but I warn you, you will need the print version to read most of it. Subscribe today, it's a classy publication! In this issue, I like "An Elegy for Rose," which is a really well executed villanelle. The art is also quite lovely. (I like "Woman in Irish Coat.")

Yes. It's looks to be a very cozy coat, and she's glowing with some private contentment.

For myself, I'm quite taken with the first "untitled" pastel portrait. Something about the deep sense of being at home, the quiet patience of the scene I find very calming. In fact, it reminds me so much of our family's summer cottage, I can practically smell the wicker and the brick dust...

"It's looks" ... blah. Can't self-edit for beans, this one!
